Most recently, before joining ADC, Biar has owned and operated real estate and healthcare businesses, which followed over 20 years in leadership and financial management, audit and accounting, and other significant roles in the hospitality industry.
During his career he has also embodied a passion for service and is nationally recognized for his work as a community and nonprofit leader. Having grown up in a refugeee camp, Biar has devoted himself to advocating for refugees and immigrants while providing coaching and training to help them build new purpose-driven lives.
He also continues his tireless work on their behalf serving on the boards of USA for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Refugee Congress, and ECDC African Community Center Las Vegas. He is also the founder of the South Sudan Center of American and one of the founding directors of the African Diaspora of Las Vegas. In 2014, Biar was named to Fortune Magazine’s “Heroes of the 500” for his extraordinary story of personal success combined with his charitable work for other children suffering from persecution and poverty.
Biar is known for developing strong, lasting relationships in business, the media, Hollywood, and with government officials, from the mayor of Las Vegas to members of Congress.
He completed two university degrees—a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and an MBA from Regis University—and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
