Glahnnia is an experienced epidemiologist with a strong background in outbreak investigations, statistical analyses, and surveillance of diseases. She has a proven track record of leading public health projects, developing studies, and designing and implementing health interventions and educational activities.
She currently works with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Foundation, State of Nevada, undertaking epidemiological investigations and responses, fostering collaborative research initiatives and studies, and gathering, analyzing and organizing data into reports. She also works with the Nevada Health Worker Association as Community Health Worker Instructor. Fostering an inclusive environment, she educates students to serve as bridges between health and social services, enable enhanced access to services, and deliver culturally competent care while fostering individuals’ and communities’ capacity, self-sufficiency, and ability to advocate for their own positive health outcomes.
Glahnnia earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and her Master of Science in Health Science Healthcare Informatics at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
